Since the establishment of Kapybara the art collective in 2016, we have created numerous art projects spanning a wide range of artistic disciplines. Read more about our favorites below!
Indie publishing
Kapybara-kustannus is a publishing house established in autumn 2025 by our founders Tuula Cox and Heidi Wikström. We focus on small special editions and high-quality visual design, paying homage to the past masters of book design.
Electronic music
Elias & Esther is a music project established by our members Tuula Cox and Tuukka Turunen. We focus on electronic music, drawing inspiration from the vibrant musical background of our childhood.
Community building
Päistikkainen mummola (=whimsical grandma´s house) is an exhibition concept first on display in the artist house Gjutars 26.11-14.12.2025. In the project, the gallery space is transformed into a place where everyone is welcome to reflect on their childhood experience, what a grandma´s place means to them, and what treasures lie in the rediscovery of child-like creativity.
Creative futurism
Phototropia is an event concept developed in collaboration with multiple international partners. It combines Nordic nature wisdom, art, climate activism, and sustainable innovation, and is planned to take place in summer 2027.
